So you want to be an automotive technician? It’s easy! It’s just a bunch of clips, parts, fluids, software, nuts and bolts.

Neat turbo ;)

It’s easy, all I need is Harbor Freight tools, Amazon, and YouTube videos.

Isn’t that what the inside of Tetsuo looks like?

Genomics is similarly easy. Just a smattering of A, T, G, C, and U. See? Easy.

Ew plastic manifold.
Anyways having worked on an 80's car I know most of those lines don't actually have to go anywhere or do anything. It's all just to trick the EPA into thinking that there's actually emissions being reduced.

I’ll take “why I’m not ever going to do my own maintenance ever again” for $600.

The last tool I bought from Harbor Freight literally was a one use tool. I bought a 2-ton come-along from them to pull out the core support on the Roadmonster. The tension release worked once. The second time it just bent. At least I got my money back.

Seeing that make me miss working on my old car (2012 Sonic, 1.8L N/A). A blind ape could work on it, the engine bay was so open & uncluttered.
My new car (2011 Juke, 1.6L turbo), is the opposite.

I’ll trade you. I’m in the middle of a rear window regulator on a 209 convertible. Can’t open the roof with the switch because the window won’t go down. Can’t get the glass out because I can’t get to one of its bolts because the window won’t go down. So I have to work around the glass, and manually open/close the roof. Oh and have I mentioned I also hate interior work and convertibles.

They can be.

Oh man, my condolences. That sounds like a pain. Old Volvo C70 vert tops and window regulator have a horrid calibration process that always eats your lunch. Ugh, my very first job on a Mercedes here as a green tech was a panoramic roof job on R-class. Da WORST!!!!!

They were pretty hilarious in the early 90's and earlier. Pretty normal now if you ovoid reading the Swedish translation. How do they fit so many letter in one word? How do you pronounce Luftfilterinsats?

that would bring the turbo count to 4.
Turbo, Alternator, Supercharger, and electric water pump (looks straight up like a turbo)

Actually less complex appearing than I thought it could be.

T6 on an XC60. We have a T8's in stock but I haven’t taken off the insulation covers off yet to look around the additional bits :]
